Professors of Campuses of UOT among the top 1% researchers of 2018

According to Islamic World Science Citation Center, twelve professors of Campuses of UOT are ranked among the top 1% Iranian researchers of 2018.

Reported by Public Relations of UOT, Dr. Asghar Asgari, Vice Chancellery for Research and Technology of UOT, claiming that this list of highly-cited researchers is in 22 thematic sciences and social sciences, said: “The data used to evaluate and select the top 1% researchers is extracted from Essential Science Indexes system (ESI) and Web of Sciences (WOS) during the period of 2008 to 2017.

Vice Chancellor for Research and Technology of UOT mentioned the process and complementary scales of recognition of the authors and added, “The rate of self-citation, the ratio of the whole citations to the whole highly-cited essays, geographical diversity of the highly-cited essays, and specialism are the cases that are considered to recognize the influential researchers.”

Dr. Asghar Asgari also added, “In 2018, Dr. Alireza Khotaei in thematic domains of chemistry and engineering, Dr. Mehran Sabahi, Dr. Behnam Mohammadi Ivatloo, Dr. Vahid Nourani, Dr. Seyyed Hossein Hosseini, Dr. Seyyed Mohammad Seyyed Mahmoudi, Dr. Saeed Zeynali Heris, Dr. Ebrahim Babaei, Dr. Morteza Yari in thematic domain of engineering, Dr. Siyamak Tal’at Ahari in thematic domain of computer sciences and engineering, Dr. Jalal Shiri in thematic domain of computer sciences, Dr. Babak Ghanbarzadeh in thematic domain of agricultural sciences are also ranked among the top 1% Iranian researchers.

It is pointed that last year, according to Thomson Reuters Citation Center of Pioneers in Science, 10 professors of UOT were ranked among the 1% Scientists of the World.
